Alfredo Gutiérrez
Alfredo de Jesús Gutiérrez Vital was born in Los Palmitos, Sucre, on April 17, 1943, nicknamed "The Accordion Monster". He is a Colombian musician, accordionist, composer, arranger and singer of tropical music.
In 1960 he began his professional career, in 1968, he consolidated himself by signing with the Codiscos record label and making the record production La Cuñada, which made him known in the country.
Since then, Alfredo Gutiérrez has taken his songs to all of Colombia and to other countries such as Mexico, the United States, Spain, Germany and all of South America.
He has been crowned "Rey Vallenato" in the professional accordion category of the Festival de la Leyenda Vallenata in Valledupar, three times, for which he receives the nickname of "Tri-Rey Vallenato".
